Chris is a Vancouver-based internet advocate, communicator, and freelance writer. Chris brings communications, fundraising, and public consultation experience to the PIAC board. He is currently a Communications Officer at the British Columbia Financial Institutions Commission, BC’s financial services regulator.
He served from 2013-2016 at advocacy group OpenMedia.org, engaging citizens worldwide to defend digital rights and inform digital policymaking. He has also published articles for VICE News and Motherboard.
Chris has a Master in Public Administration from Queens University, and a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. He has previously lived in Paris, Toronto, and Shanghai.
